We went out on the sea ice today to take down a snow fence that we put up earlier this season. It served it's purpose.....all of that head-high snow would have been buried up against the buildings of the Penguin Ranch......which would have meant much more shoveling! So, out there on the ice, while the crew took a break and sat for awhile in a hand crafted snow couch with views of Mt Erubus, the Count took this opportunity to get in some ice climbing.....what a champ! This Weddell seal also took advantage of the warm and sunny day.....soakin up some rays!
