On the River, On the Road

Back to the left side, I hit the ground running in Phoenix, packed up for another lap down the Salt, and headed to the git-in. A birthday launch date really made my day complete and grateful for all 36 years in this world. More water on this trip made for fun rapids and easy days, lots of hiking and scrambling thru multitudes of cacti.....always pay attention! Caught a nice catfish on a mini rod, swam clear water with big Carp, cannonballs and watermellons @ Cherry creek, little creepy crawly scorpions to keep us in check, and completely unstoppable in the horseshoe pits! Took the slow and lazy route North from the git-out thru the Apache lands in the Tonto and Coconino National Forests. Sunset salutations far above Lake Roosevelt, night rider back to Flag. Postin' up here for a few days before working back up to SLC. Great ride so far!
