Above the Arctic Circle

A few shots from the Kongakut River. A 3 hour bush flight from Fairbanks takes you over the mighty Yukon River and into the Brooks Ranges and finally down into the Kongakut valley. Amazing wildflowers bloom in this short summer season. Our kitchen sometimes needs protection from the wind, hence the rafts on side program. Muskox can be found on the Kong, this skull belongs to an ancient beast known today as Edward. May he always stay out on the river!
